FOCUS OF ACTIVITIES

Since its founding in 1998, the Foundation, its donors and partners have participated in these activities:

• Financial and material support of the participation of Czech physicians and medical technicians in specialized international workshops, conferences, and scholarships.

• Material and technical support of regular medical videoconferences between IKEM Prague, Teaching Hospital Hradec Kralove, TH Brno – Bohunice, TH Olomouc and Dotter Interventional Institute Portland (Oregon, USA).

• Material and technical support and organizational provision of PTA courses at IKEM Prague through direct videoconferencing transmissions of vascular interventions.

• Financial, organizational and technical provision of international workshops and conferences focused particularly on interventional radiology by using of direct videoconferencing transmissions of vascular interventions.

• Technical and organizational support of direct videoconferencing transmissions of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions (endoscopy, laparoscopy, bronchoscopy, arthroscopy, echocardiography etc.) in the scope of professional instructional and educational events.

• Preparation and implementation of pilot telemedicine projects focusing on systematic and methodical activities and guarantee the functioning of the financial interface between sponsors and end-users.

• Administration and content provision of web site http://www.telemedicina.cz as a basic information platform of the program Telemedicine/e-Health in the Czech Republic.
